2nd Grade Norms B.E.E. Book The BEE Book Binder will contain important information including your child’s communication log, parent letters, class Dojo recording sheetand other communication. **Please make every effort to initial and return the communication log and BEE book daily.
Water Bottle and Snack Please send a water bottle with a sport spout each day with your child. The sport spout helps alleviate any unnecessary spills within the classroom. We will have snack time every day. Children may bring healthy snacks that require little clean up and that they can easily work while eating. Please avoid sending snacks that require a utensil or large amounts of juice that may spill.
Birthday Celebrations At SSE, we are allowed to celebrate birthdays in the classroom with treats. Treats may be brought in by the child in the morning or left at the office where I will pick them up at my conference time. Please make sure the treats are individual in size because I will not be able to cut and serve treats on plates. We will eat treats at the end of the day close to dismissal time.
Lunch You are welcome to eat lunch with your child. Please do not share food with other students at the table as children may have food allergies you are unaware of and inadvertently cause a reaction. Our lunch time is from 11:45-12:15.
Recess We will go out to recess if the weather is below 100 degrees and above 35 degrees. Please make every effort for your child to dress properly for the day. Our recess begins at 1:10. When thinking of recess, please think of the weather at this time of the day. Children are encouraged to take their water bottles out to recess, so please have water bottles clearly marked with your child’s name.
Class Dojo We will be using Class Dojo in our room this year to track student behavior. Please review your child's Dojo sheet daily to discuss school behavior. Students will be able to use their points earned for classroom rewards.
